About RanchVest

Who We Are:

The 2 principals of RanchVest have been respected real estate investment, management and disposition specialists for over 22 years.  They forged their partnership in the mid 1980’s during the nationwide S&L crisis obtaining contracts first from Texas S&L’s and then eventually the federal government to analyze, manage and dispose of over $2 billion in real estate and mortgage assets in 42 states and Puerto Rico.  Their responsibilities involved every property type including the completion of defaulted builder developments in and around Houston, Dallas and San Antonio which is where they first gained their development expertise.  During the 1990’s the partners formed relationships with 4 Wall Street entities to acquire, manage, improve and dispose of  close to $2.5 billion in assets nationwide.

Currently the partners have holdings in the health care industry as the investment partner in a company that develops and manages skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.  Their current portfolio of 10 facilities stretches  from Waco to San Antonio.   They also have retained a HUD contract to re underwrite the Section 8 Multifamily properties in 25 states for the Federal government.

The partnership’s ranch investment portfolio was initiated in the mid 1990’s, escalated over the last 3 years and is currently the main  focus of the partnership’s efforts.

Who We Do:

The identification of under utilized land assets in and around central Texas is the main objective of the partnership.  Using our expertise and that of other professionals including but not limited to attorneys, appraisers, engineers, land planners, agricultural and game specialists we develop a specific plan to improve  each asset prior to bringing it back to the market.

How We Do it:

Once a target property is identified and acquired a detailed business plan is developed to provide for the specific improvement and positioning of the asset for maximized disposition.   Range, game and wildlife management plans are often implemented and the improvements of roadways and the extension of public utilities to the selected sites are pursued where appropriate.  Professionals such as engineers, attorneys, wildlife and development consultants form an integral part of each plan to ensure the delivery of well designed, quality projects to the end user.
